Champions League final

Champions League Final 2019

The European soccer season will come to a close this weekend with the Champions League final on Saturday in Madrid. This has been a campaign of excitement, drama, pain and ecstasy but with only two teams through to the final, this will be an all English affair. Tottenham Hotspur will play Liverpool in what is known as the biggest event in the European soccer club calendar.

No matter the outcome history will be made. For Liverpool, this will be their chance to win their 6th European Cup since 2005. A win on Saturday will see them go above Bayern Munich and Barcelona on the winner’s list and fall in just behind AC Milan (7 wins) and Real Madrid (13 wins). For Spurs, it will be their first ever appearance in a Champions League Final.

Liverpool leads in head to head

If stats are to go by Spurs has only won one of their last 14 matches against Liverpool in all competitions. If we look at the premier league this year Spurs lost both matches against Liverpool but, they did finish third in the title race one spot behind the reds.
