The winner of the Premier League has not yet been decided and we will have to wait until this weekend to see if Man City or Liverpool take the trophy. But, elsewhere football has continued and teams have secured their spots in the Premier League for the 2019/20 season while others will be leaving the EPL.
Teams Promoted to English Premier League
So far two teams have secured their spots in the league, Norwich City who won the English Championship on Sunday and Sheffield United. The final spot will be decided with a round of playoffs between:
- Derby City
- Leeds
- West Brom
- Aston Villa
Teams Relegated from English Premier League
Three teams will be exiting the Premier League to make way for the promoted teams. Cardiff City, Fulham and Huddersfield are the teams at the bottom of the log facing the chop this season. Both Cardiff and Fulham were promoted into the Premier League last year but, they have not made the cut, however, Wolves who were also promoted last year are currently sitting in the 7th spot. This should give hope to some of the teams coming up this year that it can be done!
